July is here and that means festival season is in full swing!!! The main event is the arrival of Summer! Where is the year going?! If you’re anything like me you’ve been looking forward to this time of year because Rochester, NY starts to get really bumping with so many more things going on this month! Here’s a list of things you can attend in the order they happen!
Major Arts & Culture Festivals
Corn Hill Arts Festival: A large, historic arts festival with artists, musicians, and food vendors.
Rochester Pride Parade & Festival: Celebrates LGBTQ+ culture with a parade and events, often in mid-July.
Black Culture Festival: Focuses on Black arts, music, and community, often at Parcel 5.
Rochester Summer Soul Music Festival: Features R&B and soul artists.
Gospel Jubilee: An inspirational music event at the Public Market with food trucks.
City & Community Events
Party in the Park: Free summer concert series in downtown Rochester.
Food Truck Rodeo: A gathering of local food trucks, often at the Public Market.
RPO Around the Town Concerts: Free classical music performances by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in local parks.
Independence Day Celebrations: Fireworks and events, often downtown or at venues like Genesee Country Village.
