Black Cinema Series: “Sing Sing”

Presented by the Black Cinema Series, a partnership between the Rochester Association of Black Journalists (RABJ) and the Little Theatre.

Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group with other incarcerated men. This stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, stars an unforgettable cast of formerly incarcerated actors.

Following the film, there will be a post-screening panel discussion with:

  • Miquel Powell – Executive Director and Founder of The Reentry & Community Development Center, Inc. (RCDC-17)
  • Shanique Byrd – Publisher and Editor of Tocsin Magazine

Tickets are available online in advance, at the box office during open hours, or at the door day of the screening.

Admission prices are $11 with a discounted rate of $7 for seniors, students and military personnel. Group prices are available in advance through the business office.
