In this day and age, Social Media is an important factor when it comes to marketing your business. This is even more true for Black-Owned businesses due to the fact that it is relatively a cheap way to advertise your business and to connect with potential and existing customers. It is a widely known fact that Black-owned businesses are underfunded and underutilized. This is why Black Owned in Rochester even exists!
Even so, 50% of new businesses over the last few years have been Minority owned which is amazing. This makes the need for learning how to market your business in a lean way important. It also makes the marketplace a little bit more crowded each day so it is important to stand out.
That’s why the American Advertising Federation of Greater Rochester is bringing together 4 Black-owned business experts to discuss how using social media is changing the game. Event Venue & Details
This event is on Feb 16, 2023, from 5:30pm to 8pm EST.
The event will take place on Thursday, February 16, at Urban Euphoria, A Black-owned event venue located at 35 South Washington Street, Rochester, NY 14608.
There will be networking 5:30-6pm and 7-8pm.
The panel will take place 6-7pm, with the flexibility to go over by a little if more time is needed.
Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar (bottled water, soda, beer, wine, well drinks, fruit-infused water), and complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be available at the food station (charcuterie boards with cheese, meats, pickles, and crostini; veggies and hummus; pasta salad (vegetarian); mini cinnamon buns).
Free off-street parking is available in the lot behind the building beside Advantage Federal Credit Union (for easy navigation, enter “1 Goldsmith Place, Rochester, NY 14614” for directions).
